The Blind Pig in collaboration with our friend Will Jeffers of The Stanbury produced its first triangle based dinner production in January of 2014. Two, Six, Heave was an Admiral Crew (circa 2011-2013) reunion dinner featuring Elliott Moss of Buxton Hall Barbecue, Drew Maykuth of The Stanbury, Ivan Candido of The Admiral, Mike Moore & Alex Bryanton near downtown Raleigh, NC. The chefs and staff at The Blind Pig served 90 guests an extraordinary menu under the twinkle of Christmas lights and among the crackle of live records spun from the pulpit of the restored Gethesmane Seventh Day Adventist Church.

This event set the stage for future Triangle collaboration as we embarked on a mission to extend our chef community and philanthropic mission.

Chef Steve Goff

Chef Steven Goff previously traveled the United States in his youth as a punk rocker on trains. Kitchens had always provided a needed and interesting opportunity for work and in the past decade Chef Goff has capitalized on this opportunity as a self made chef.

Landing in Asheville in 2004, Steve immersed himself into the food scene at notable Asheville restaurants and enrolled himself into AB Techs culinary program where he graduated with honors, as well as went on to teaching for the program.

Chef Goff was sous chef at the well known Zambra restaurant in Asheville before opening the King James Public House as Chef and Co-owner. Steve launched a successful brand and outstanding menu at King James Public House which resonated with high regard in the Asheville dining scene.

In 2015, Steve relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina to assist as a team member in the well anticipated opening of Standard Foods with Chef and Owner Scott Crawford as head butcher.

Steve Goff began his work with The Blind Pig in the Spring of 2014 with the supper concept 'Dark Room' as a fundraiser for the Industries for the Blind in NC. Since then he has been instrumental in his work with The Blind Pig in creating impressionable cuisine experiences with a backbone of philanthropic work to the local community. In the upcoming 2016 season, Goff will continue to bring the unique and extraordinary dining experiences of The Blind Pig Supper Club to the Triangle extending our community outreach on a consistent basis.
